- Interested in a bursary or scholarship? We offer a range of funding options and can help you apply.
- Are you an international student? The team can advise on applying for work visas and finding jobs.

We recognise that the economic climate is currently making things extremely tough for students to make ends meet, and UWL is here to support you.
Working with UWLSU, departments across the University have identified ways we can support you at this challenging time – whether the support you need is connected to your finances, your wellbeing or simply ensuring you can access life’s essentials.

We want you to experience university life to the full. We are here to help you with any health matter that is affecting your studies or general wellbeing. We offer:

We have a range of ways to help you get the most from your studies:
- A daily, confidential, drop-in support service
- A range of academic skills masterclasses to refine your essay writing or presenting skills
- A Peer Mentoring Scheme so you can connect with other students who can support you and share their experiences
Your welfare matters
You never know when you may need a helping hand.
Our Welfare Team are here to help should you have any personal difficulties or problems with accommodation, your course or an issue with another student of member of staff.
Careers advice, not just for university but for life
- We can help you find a part time job during your studies, a placement as part of your degree or a full time graduate role.
- We offer masterclasses to help you tailor your CV or refine your interview skills.
- You can get specialist careers advice to help you decide what you want to do when you graduate.
Disability and specific learning differences support
We want all students to have equal access to their course and the facilities at UWL. We can provide confidential, specialist advice to help address any physical, study or communication barriers you may find in the university environment.

We offer a wide range of support and guidance to help with specific questions or concerns you may have.
