body
All the hard work, revision, projects, dissertations, course work and exams, will come to fruition as UWL’s incredible students collect their hard-earned awards.
Taking place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the world-famous Twickenham Stadium – home of the England rugby team, it will be a chance for graduands to mark their accomplishments in front of family and friends.
On each day, the University will also present four inspiring figures with honorary degrees in recognition of their achievements including renowned Paralympian and TV broadcaster, Ade Adepitan MBE, BBC journalist and broadcaster Julian Worricker, and founder of the MOBO awards, Kanya King MBE.
So, dust off your gowns and mortarboard caps and get ready to enjoy this unforgettable occasion.
Professor Peter John CBE, Vice-Chancellor of UWL, said:
Graduation is about celebrating our students’ success, which has only been possible with a considerable commitment of time, energy and personal sacrifice on their part.
It is also a time to reflect just how far they have come on their educational journey that has equipped them with the knowledge, skills and expertise that will set them up for their future career.’
He also paid tribute to all the parents, family members, partners and friends attending the ceremonies who have selflessly given support over the past few years.
You can follow proceedings across our Instagram and Twitter channels throughout the week.
Please note that anyone planning to attend the Wednesday 27 July presentations should be aware there is an RMT Union strike which potentially will have a significant impact on train services around the country and getting to/from Twickenham. More information can be found on our graduation page.
