Co-founders Zain and Shez developed their adaptogenic coffee blends for over two years with support from the West London Food Innovation Centre (WLFIC) in their early-stage product development, reformulation and in developing various prototypes.
“We delivered innovative prototypes by using premium quality ingredients that contained both active compounds and superior coffee resulting in a convenient apoptogenic coffee that is essentially providing consumers with a wider coffee experience,” says Catherine Wall, Research & Development Specialist at WLFIC.
Co-founder Zain said:
It was wonderful working with Catherine and her team, learning about the testing process and helping to refine our blends and get them ready to launch.”
In February 2022, Shez and Zain appeared on BBC One’s Dragons’ Den, a reality programme which allows several entrepreneurs an opportunity to present business ideas to a panel of five wealthy investors, the ‘Dragons’, and pitch for financial investment. London Nootropics accepted an offer of £50,000 from two of the Dragons, Deborah Meaden and Sara Davies, on the show.
It really is exciting and rewarding when we see a product transition from the support in the Centre to the shelves of Harrods and Selfridges and beyond,”
says Catherine.
