Amongst the glittering Christmas lights, guests were treated to luxurious Fortnum’s food, including a well-stocked cheese board, specially prepared mushroom dishes and a selection of canapes and desserts. Guests also heard from both the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Peter John CBE, and Chancellor Laurence Geller.
Alumni Board Chair Helen Pidgeon was in attendance, and said:
The winter reception was a really Christmassy occasion, with great food and company. It was really something special and out of the ordinary.”
Nicola Conway, Director of Alumni and Development, said:
It was great to see so many familiar faces joining us to toast the end of another year at UWL. We were also thrilled to welcome recent graduates and start building new relationships.
The strength of our university is built on the wonderful community we share, and nights like this show how valuable staying connected to our past students can be.”
