Business graduates celebrate success with family and friends

The next generation of business experts have enjoyed their own day of celebration as they look back on their hard work and graduate alongside their family and friends.
The University of West London marked the third day of graduation ceremonies at Twickenham Stadium on Wednesday, welcoming students from its Claude Littner Business School to receive their degrees and mark the next steps in their career journeys.
During a full day of ceremonies at the iconic venue, the celebrations brought together students and their families to receive their degrees in what was an extra special moment as the first week of in-person graduation at the university since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Graduates were joined today by renowned guest, Kishu Gomes – a former Coca-Cola CEO and the youngest Sri-Lankan to head up a multi-national organisation who received an honorary degree during the day.
Being made an Honorary Doctor of Business Administration, Kishu was praised for his impressive career in business and marketing, alongside his work supporting young people as they get started in their chosen industries.
Professor Anthony Woodman, Deputy Vice-Chancellor at UWL, said:
Our graduands today are going on to join a global network of thousands of our graduates from across six countries who are all doing so much good.
We are immensely proud of our alumni body who work to support the next generation. We know they will go on to do what our graduates always do and make an unbelievable difference to their communities and the world around them.
They are the University of West London and we are so incredibly proud of them all."
