Dressed to impress – UWL Business students celebrate Student of the Year Awards

Over 100 students plus family and friends attended a Student of the Year Awards ceremony at Paragon House in Brentford recently. Awards were presented to students at the Claude Littner Business School (CLBS), part of the University of West London, at various levels of study and on a range of courses at the School.

After the ceremony, the students who were dressed to impress, gathered for a reception in the Paragon Suite on the 11th floor for refreshments and food. There was a celebratory atmosphere as everyone enjoyed the panoramic views and took lots of photos to mark the occasion. All winners and nominees were given certificates to commemorate their hard work and success.

Awards winners at the Claude Littner Business School Student of the Year ceremony

The three biggest awards were overall Student of the Year, Undergraduate Student of the Year and Postgraduate Student of the Year, with the winners receiving a glass trophy as well as a certificate.

Overall Student of the Year, Sharaniya Supagar, who also won Level 5 International Business Management Student of the Year, said:

I am so excited and happy. The University has given me so many opportunities to help my future career and I am proud of being a student here.”

Undergraduate Student of the Year Stefano Di Bellonio, who also won Level 6 Accounting and Finance Student of the Year, commented:

I was really surprised to win. It is a reward for all my hard work and is very motivating. I am enjoying studying at CLBS so much. The lecturers are brilliant and we are always well-prepared for exams.”

I didn’t expect to win but I’m so happy that I have. It gives me the motivation to do even better,”

said Postgraduate Student of the Year Rania Znidar, who also won MSc International Business Management Student of the Year.

Our students all work so hard. I know that it has been difficult to choose the nominees and winners. These students are the absolute crème de la crème,”

said Dr Amelia Au-Yeung, Dean of CLBS.

Senior Lecturer at CLBS Paul Byrne commented:

Congratulations to all the nominees and winners. These awards have generated much excitement among the students, and we hope will help them hugely with their CVs and future careers.”
