Entrepreneurship as a career option
body
Students at the University of West London have been encouraged to think about becoming their own boss by entrepreneurs who have found success forging their own path.
An audience of over 70 students heard from an expert panel with experience in creating retail platforms, cyclical economy businesses and sustainable social media networking, about how entrepreneurship can create a sense of freedom and a buzz that’s hard to find in a salaried job.
As Stephen Fry, Director of UWL’s Westmont Enterprise Hub, explained afterwards, the event was all about inspiring students to think that starting a new business was for them.
We brought together three entrepreneurs who have created businesses from nothing and seen them go from strength-to-strength."
We want all our students to have a rewarding and successful career – for many of them that could mean unlocking their talents and abilities by starting a business. Today was all about demonstrating that, even if you just have a flicker of an idea, you can turn that into something great and you can get a whole load of support from us to make your dreams a reality."

The panellists sharing their expertise included, George Taylor – Founder and CEO of Gramersi.com, Marnie Zubair – Founder of Tresor, and Karl Brown – Co-Founder of Curv Co. The event was organised by The Claude Littner Business School.
