Musician heads for truly international future with UWL
Laying the foundations for a successful career in the industry, a musician is making the most of connections and expert teaching in his first year of study at UWL.
Vishal Chopra is already building on connections and opportunities to collaborate during his first months of study at UWL’s London College of Music (LCM) after coming from Malaysia to follow his passions and ensure he can build a strong career.
As well as improving his own skills, Vishal, who comes from a family of performers and has always played music, is building his confidence and abilities as a performer.
Now well into his first year of a Performance and Recording BMus at LCM, he said:
I have always been musical and wanting to work in the industry, which is why I came to London to study at LCM.
There are so many opportunities to work with and learn from professionals here, and with so many student performers there are endless ways we can collaborate and expand our work.
I am still new but am enjoying meeting so many people and all the societies and the Students’ Union. It is like I am studying with my family every day."
