Event sponsorship
Thank you for your interest in sponsoring a UWL Careers Event. Sponsorship is exclusive and each event sponsorship supports employability initiatives such as free ‘LinkedIn headshots’ for UWL students.
UWL employability partnership
- Attendance at the event (payment for the fair that you would like to sponsor, will be included in the sponsorship fee)
- Promotion of the Sponsor via our various marketing communications. Bespoke targeted promotional provisions to UWL students.
- First access to Future You - Diversity Matters Employer Presentations 2024/25
- Sponsored name of future Employability Initiative(s)
- Sole exclusive sponsorship of chosen event.
- Invitations to join as a Guest Speaker to our employability initiatives throughout the year
- Host a bespoke Graduate Recruitment Day timetabled around your recruitment cycles
- Invitation to relevant annual award ceremonies hosted by UWL throughout the year.
Terms and conditions
1. The following terms and conditions (Terms) relate to each Sponsorship Package by the Sponsor and accepted by the University of West London (the University).
2. The Sponsor shall provide an image of their Logo and any content (Logo) in the format required and details (if any), of any rules regarding use of the Logo. Logos are accepted in the following formats: GIFF, TIFF, JPEG, BMP files.
3. The Sponsor confirms that publication of any Sponsor Logo will not (i) infringe any rights of any third party, (ii) violate an any applicable law or regulation; (iii) contain anything that is defamatory, obscene false or misleading.
4. The Sponsor hereby grants a worldwide, non-exclusive, fully-paid licence to the University for reproduction and display of the Logo (including any content, trademarks and brand factors forming part of such Logo), in respect of the 2024/25 Careers Fair being sponsored.
5. Style, layout and design in respect of materials and publications provided by (or on behalf of) the University in respect of the 2024/25 Careers Fair being sponsored is at the sole discretion of the University.
6. The Sponsor hereby agrees to indemnify and keep indemnified the University against all costs, claims, damages, actions, losses (whether direct, indirect, special, consequential and including loss of profit, loss of contract, loss of use and loss of goodwill) and expenses whatsoever which it may suffer or incur in connection with failure by the Sponsor to comply with any of the provisions of this Agreement or any use by the University of the Logo. For the avoidance of doubt, the Sponsor shall be liable for and shall indemnify the University against any action brought by any person as a result of misleading information provided by the Sponsor and contained in any advertisement in connection with this agreement.
7. Wherever possible, payment of the costs of the Sponsorship Package by the sponsor shall be made to the University, either through online payment via the UWL payment portal website within 30 days of the date of the Fair, the full amount payable in respect of the sponsorship package shall be retained by the University (where already paid) or become payable to the University.
8. Both Parties to the agreement shall abide by all laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bribery Act 2010 and Modern Slavery Act 2015.
9. All personal data relating to student and other individuals which is created pursuant to this Agreement shall be processed fairly by the Sponsor in accordance with all relevant data protection legislation and with the reasonable instructions of the University.
10. If either Party to this Agreement is prevented or delayed in the performance of any of its obligations under this Agreement by reason of Force Majeure (meaning any cause affection one Party’s ability to perform this Agreement, arising from or attributable to acts, events, omissions beyond the control of such Party) and if such Party gives written notice thereof to the other parties specifying the matters constituting Force Majeure together with such evidence as it reasonably can give, specifying the period for which it is estimated that such prevention or delay will continue then the Party in question shall be excused the performance or the punctual performance as the case may be as from the date of such notice for so long as such cause of prevention or delay shall continue.
11. This Agreement and all agreements and documents entered into or to be entered into pursuant to the terms of this Agreement together constitute the entire agreement and understanding between the Parties with respect to the subject matter of this Agreement and such other agreements and documents and (in relation to such subject matter) supersede all prior discussions, understandings and agreements between the Parties and their agents (or any of them) and all prior representations and expressions of opinion by any Party (or its agent) to any other Party (or its agent).
12. Any background intellectual property rights which are brought to the arrangement shall be owned exclusively by the Party. The Sponsor may not use any University Trade Marks without prior written consent.
13. Nothing contained or implied in this Agreement shall constitute or be deemed to constitute a legal partnership between the Parties and neither of the Parties shall have any authority to bind or commit the other Party.
14. These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
15. Sponsor benefits for 2024/25 Career Events include: Sponsored name of Employability Initiatives determined and delivered by the University. Sponsored name for Virtual Student & Employer Welcome Room. Sole sponsorship of the Careers Event.
