Study dates and times
This course is taught on day release, select a start date to see the study days:
Study days are from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
The course will enable you to:
- Build knowledge about the major theories of change management
- Practically apply theories and techniques of change in a healthcare setting
- Develop an understanding of what sustainability is, and how to sustain an improvement or change
- Effectively recognise resistance to change and resolve barriers to change.
The course aims to pull together the human side of working to change services. It draws on learning gathered from psychology, human resources and industry in relation to leading and managing change in healthcare and sustaining that change beyond the life of the project.
The interaction between individuals, the resistance and barriers that others have experienced and the issue of effective team working will also be considered.
The course uses Improvement Science techniques, based on the extensive experience of the CLAHRC for North West London. It runs as a series of workshops, where you will examine the concepts raised and consider how they apply to your workplace.
