Meet the team
Roseanna Donnan – Student Experience Manager
I am passionate about enhancing the student experience to ensure every student reaches their full academic potential. Having faced a lack of confidence in my academic abilities, I completed a foundation year and proudly graduated from UWL in 2015 with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. I returned to work here in 2017 and have always strived to find new ways to enhance what we offer to our students, fostering a positive environment for everyone and boosting students’ confidence in their capabilities.
If I could give students one tip, it would be to never stop believing in what you can achieve.
Andreea Daniela Coroama – Senior International Student Experience Officer
My name is Andreea, I am your International Student Experience Coordinator and I have been working for the University since 2020.
I know first-hand what it is like to be an overseas student and I am passionate about making sure you have the best university experience. I want you to make the most out of your time with us and to #LoveUWL as much as I do. I like to read and travel the world, so if you have any stories of amazing places to visit please share them with me!
I am always very happy to guide and support you with anything you may need. You can get in touch with me at studentvisa.experience@uwl.ac.uk
Yuru Sun – International Student Experience Officer
Hi, I am Yuru Sun, a student experience administrator who has worked here since January 2023. I am happy to have the opportunity to positively impact UWL students’ lives by enhancing your university experience, overcoming challenges and fostering a supportive learning experience. In my free time, I enjoy photography and cooking. Looking forward to meeting all of you! If you need any help, please do not hesitate to reach out to me!
Kieran Harper - UWL Student Experience & Retention Advisor
Hi, I'm Kieran. I work as a Student Experience Officer here at UWL – I endeavour to help those who may need extra guidance to get back on track with their studies. I am always happy to help and draw on my own experiences at university to support students with whatever they may be dealing with. Aside from this, I work to coordinate some of our cohort specific, online, and quiet and inclusive induction days to ensure students receive the best welcome possible at the start of their journey with us.
I studied performance and recording at LCM and hold a PGDip in advanced music technology. When I'm not at work, I'm either playing guitar in various bands at shows across the UK, producing music, or listening to a podcast (usually in the van en route to the former). If you need support or just want to chat about music or student life, feel free to reach out!
Mohit Rajbhandari – Student Experience Coordinator
Hi, my name is Mohit, I'm a Student Experience Coordinator and I have worked here since September 2022.
I love the interactions with every student and help them get the best guidance in the University. The best part about my job for me is I have an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of prospective students whilst they are just starting something new. Even hearing a “thank you” gives me immense amount of motivation.
I like to sing and play guitar in my spare time, especially at the time of the classic chilly UK weather. Apart from that, I like to be fascinated by the wonders of the world and the universe. I am very spiritual and at the same time I love useless puns.
Jodian Walters – Student Experience Coordinator
Hello, my name is Jodian and I am a Student Experience Coordinator. I joined the team in July 2023. My highlight of working as part of the Student Experience team so far has been meeting and supporting all of you at student welcomes. I enjoy helping and interreacting with students, making sure that every student feels included in the community. I love that my role allows me to be a part of creating positive experiences and empowering students' voices that help to strengthen the UWL community.
For hobbies I love to travel and eat food from all over the world and play with my pet cat called Reo. If you see me on campus, please say hi!
Martin Marshall - Partnership Student Experience Coordinator
I am Martin and I am the Partnership Student Experience Coordinator here at UWL. I have worked at UWL for just over ten years and have been involved in almost every aspect of university life here. My role is primarily about making sure the students at all of our partner colleges and universities enjoy the same great experience as the students here at UWL, but ultimately, I am here to help any student with anything. My favourite part of my role is seeing our students graduate at our graduation ceremonies every year.
Away from the University, I enjoy writing, gaming and visiting sci-fi conventions, as well as being a big sports fan.
Abed Karim – International Student Experience Graduate Project Coordinator
Hello, my name is Abed. I am an international students experience project coordinator who joined the team in July 2024. My highlight since I have started working has been seeing the smiles on the students' faces during their welcome day and when they collect their student ID cards. I enjoy helping all students to feel welcome at UWL and ensuring that you as students can have the best university experience possible.
In my spare time, I enjoy exploring new places and trying out new food.
