  • How did you learn about the University of West London?

I learnt about the University of West London through the institution Music Studies and Research Centre/Centro de Investigación y Estudios de la Música (CIEM) in Mexico City. In this place I majored on two Bachelors degrees, the LLCM and LMusLCM, both awarded and assessed by London College of Music."

  • What attracted you to study with us?

One of the things that attracted me the most to apply for a Masters Degree at the University of West London was the methodology, the prestige as a university and education quality. I wanted to continue my musical studies through London College of Music because I think knowing the institution that assessed my certificates is one of the most rewarding things. This attraction, along with many others, made the University of West London my very first option in the list and I feel honoured to part of it."

  • What were your initial impressions of the University?

The initial impressions I had of the University were the practical way of working and receiving people all around the world, the equality, tolerance, openness and kindness. There was also a bit of uncertainty when experiencing a type of organisation so different from the one I was used to before moving."

  • What reflections do you have on the programme after the first month of teaching?

The programme I chose is meeting my expectations. Of course, there are things we are reviewing as Masters students, for example, some terms we have already studied, but with a different and completely new approach, which in this case is film, video games and TV. Every piece of new information, combined to the knowledge we already have, makes the difference. The professors are very well prepared, helpful, warm, excellent tutors with such an excellent human quality. My colleagues and I are very passionate and honest. We discuss what we like, what we do and help each other because our background allows us to balance the team within the group and future friendship potential."
