How did you learn about the University of West London?
I first learnt about the university when my dad moved over to the UK and was looking at different universities for me to attend. The University of West London stood out instantly to him. He saw advertisements for the University in the roads on banners and saw advertisements online posted by the University. Unfortunately, I was still based in South Africa, however my father was able to attend two open days on my behalf. It was always my intention to study Business, and my father managed to attend a presentation conducted by the Dean of the Claude Littner Business School. The feedback I received from this presentation was very encouraging and confirmed that the University of West London would be my first choice."

What attracted you to apply to study with us?
During one of the visits that my father made to the University, whilst I was still in South Africa, he took many videos and photos, and I was instantly attracted to the many facilities and general outlay of the University.
When I first saw the University the first thing that instantly attracted me to apply was the unbelievable Students' Union.
The University of West London is best known as a career university and that is immensely important as once I graduate, and whilst I am studying, the student support structures will do their best to support me in finding suitable me job opportunities and job offers. This was the main factor that attracted me to apply and study at the University of West London.
I also heard about all the different sports teams and the atmosphere and camaraderie that they all share together; this also attracted me to study at the University of West London as, whilst growing up in South Africa, I have always enjoyed my sport and being a part of sporting teams."
-
What are your initial impressions of the University?
I am very impressed with the modern facilities that the University has to offer. From the first day that I attended, the excellent security structures in place made me feel very secure.
The library is very convenient, comfortable and provides all the resources that I need. I have also attended a few socials at Freddie’s, and these were most enjoyable and well managed. Some of my classes are at the Brentford Campus and the bus transport between campuses is reliable, clean and very efficient."
-
What reflections do you have on the programme after the first month of teaching
The classes are conducted professionally and administered efficiently. I find it very stimulating to remain engaged during the classes. The lecturers are very professional in the way they teach and are always helpful when assistance is required, or when I don’t fully understand something in the lecture. My classmates are also enjoyable and we all get along well in class, such as discussions and teamwork activities. The workload is very manageable but also challenging."
