Sustainability is a very broad area and is expected to grow in importance for employers, educators and graduates,” says Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof Anthony Woodman. "It is important for students to have good knowledge of potential careers in this area that will positively impact their graduate employment prospects and also our planet.”

These are jobs where the central purpose is to support the attainment of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, at a national, organisational or industry level.

Organisations around the world a scrambling to recruit to vacancies in sustainability-based roles in driving towards meeting the 2030 Sustainable Development Targets. The University has worked with the Institute for Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability to create this event that brings a distinguished panel of leading professionals to share their insights and career experience to give students a better understanding of career roles in this area, how to access such roles and what it is like to have a career in sustainability.
