UWL ranked first among the modern London universities in the 2024 Complete University Guide

UWL continues to go from strength to strength as a modern career university which sets students up for success. This is illustrated yet again, as one of the most influential independent annual ranking league tables shows that we are on a positive trajectory. We are pleased to share that we are London’s Number One Modern University!*

UWL also performed well in other areas as we jumped an impressive 23 places in the overall rankings table, with only one other university ascending more places. As a new member of the University Alliance, we are delighted to rank second amongst the body of universities working at the heart of communities to affect positive change through practical, skills-based learning and applied research.
In the 2024 Complete University Guide, students can also see the university rankings for their chosen subject, and UWL has improved across 10 different subject areas. It is impressive to note that:
- Communication and Media Studies ranks Number One amongst London modern universities
- Nursing ranks 25th (of 80) overall and Number Two amongst London modern universities
- Music improved by +11 places overall and now sits Number Two amongst London modern universities
