Christopher has over 30 years’ experience advising companies and institutions on organisation design and organisation development and how to build the capability of their people. He is currently following a portfolio career as an executive coach and as a visiting lecturer in Organisation Behaviour for the University of Westminster. He sits on the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.
Prior to this, Christopher was interim chief executive of Equal Plus, a diversity, equity and inclusion consulting firm. He has been leadership adviser to the Archbishop of Canterbury (implementing the first leadership programme for bishops and deans in the Church of England). He has worked as vice president and global head of talent and learning for BP, supporting the board and senior management team during a period of rapid change. Christopher has also worked as an associate partner with accenture leading a variety of change management and business transformation programmes. He has held several line and corporate HR assignments with Lloyds Bank, Diageo and HJ Heinz.
Previous advisory roles include the International Board of Said Business School, Oxford.
Christopher originally studied Anthropology at Cambridge University and completed a Masters in Clinical Organisational Psychology at INSEAD. He has been awarded a doctorate by the University of Pennsylvania. His thesis explored how senior leaders make ethical decisions in cross cultural work environments. His findings were summarised and published by the Harvard Business Review in 2017.
