Dr Francielle Carpenedo

Research Development Officer
The Graduate School

I support academic colleagues with insights into statutory funding for research projects throughout the research grant lifecycle. This includes support at pre-award stage from application and budget development through to submission to funders, contract liaison, and post-award guidance.

Prior to joining UWL, I managed Latin American, Spanish, and Portuguese Year Abroad placements, partnerships and mobility at the University of Nottingham. This entailed cross-country coordination of student mobility as well as bilateral relationships and agreements.

My academic background is in languages and digital communication. I have a PhD in Modern Languages and Digital Humanities from the IMLR/UoL. My research investigated computer-mediated communication and translingual practices in connection to Brazilian enterprises in the UK as part of the AHRC funded OWRI ‘Cross-Language Dynamics: Reshaping Community’ project.
