Javier Fioramonti
Javier Fioramonti, born in Santa Fe , Argentina, studied guitar at the National School of Music of Rosario, studied harmony and composition with Lucho Gonzalez (Mercedes Sosa, Chabuca Granda) and later joined his teaching team, doing (amongst other studies) the Berklee College of Music summer courses in Buenos Aires.
Javier recorded toured extensively Argentina with Jorge Fandermole, a well known singer-songwriter, until he moved to the UK in 1991. Since then he's been involved in the Latin scene, playing with most of the local bands including Roberto Pla's Latin Jazz Ensemble and Alex Wilson's Salsa Orchestra, also accompanying well know salsa artists like Henry Fiol, Camilo Azuquita, Maelo Ruiz, David Pabon and Joe Battan.
Javier played for over five years with Salsa Celtica from Scotland, touring extensively over the UK and Europe and recording two albums with the band.
Tango has played a big part in his music career, starting with the music of Astor Piazzolla and then moving to a more traditional way of tango playing. Other projects includes Tango 3 and Javier's own Latin grooves band The Mantecas, exploring Latin America's vast musical heritage.
Javier actively composes for De Wolfe and West One Music, two of the most well known music production companies in London, and his music is played regularly on various TV channels including the BBC.
His music was featured in the film Quartet, directed by Dustin Hoffman, and recently in the award-wining Netflix series Pam & Tommy.
Javier has been a guitar lecturer at LCM (London College of Music), University of West London, for the past seven years.

Teaching
Teaching guitar is about understanding the needs of the student and working towards their goals. While technique is an important part of the studies, focusing on performance and feel is a priority before theory. Students will discover their own voice on the instrument while learning the basics that will enable them to develop it further in their future careers.
