Kirsty Maclaren
Kirsty trained at the Dance School of Scotland (Musical Theatre Course) and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She originated the role of Manda in the Olivier Award winning 'Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour' — she was also nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress for the role.
As a professionally working actor, Kirsty can be seen appearing in Series 3 of The Crown (Netflix), playing the role of Violet. She has recently finished filming as Carolyn in Boys in the Boat (MGM), directed by George Clooney, and as a guest lead on Doctors (BBC).
Other credits include Nikki in This is My Family (Chichester Festival Theatre), Chava in Fiddler on The Roof (Menier Chocolate Factory/ Trevor Nunn) and Susanna Walcott in The Crucible (Royal Lyceum Theatre).

Kirsty is Level 6 Year Lead on the BA(Hons) Musical Theatre at LCM. Previous guest lecturer roles include the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Kirsty has a Masters in Learning and Teaching for the Performing Arts and is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
