Dr Lucy Clarke
Lucy gained a First Class BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of West London in 2017, followed by an MA in Gender, Society and Representation from University College London in 2019.
Lucy received a PhD in Psychology from the University of West London in 2023. Her PhD examined the gendered messages within Disney, Marvel and Star Wars media and the extent to which engagement with these franchises predicted children's gendered traits.
Her teaching covers both undergraduate and postgraduate study. Lucy's main area of expertise is developmental psychology. Lucy is particularly interested in how gender stereotypes influence behaviour and behavioural expectations of both children and adults.
