Mamilan Hussein

Mamilan Hussein is a Senior Lecturer and PhD candidate at the University of West London, holding a senior fellowship in higher education in the UK (SFHEA). A dedicated advocate for women’s rights and sustainable development, she brings a wealth of experience in both academic and operational leadership. As the former Director of International Relations at the University of Kurdistan-Hawler, Mamilan built strategic international partnerships and developed initiatives to enhance student learning and engagement.

Her research interests include gender politics, nation-building and sustainable development, and she has several forthcoming publications in these areas. Mamilan is committed to driving positive change through education, fostering cross-cultural collaboration and advancing social justice.
