Dr Mohammad Saki is a Senior Lecturer in Sustainability and Green Technology at the University of West London. Previously, he held the position of Senior Lecturer in Built Environment at Greenwich University.

Motivated by his diverse background in architecture, construction, management and media, he follows his passion for multidisciplinary research. Mohammad's expertise lies in digital technologies with a focus on building information modelling (BIM), digital twin and internet of things (IoT) building performance simulation to deliver sustainable development goals in a circular economy. This knowledge is complemented by a unique exploration of media and technology intersections, particularly in augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), drone technology and life cycle analysis for media projects.

Teaching

Mohammad has a deep understanding of the UK higher education landscape through working at various universities such as UCL, City University, Salford, Greenwich and LSBU. Additionally, he has experience in teaching and auditing joint programmes internationally, including in the Netherlands, Hong Kong and China. He has successfully developed and led various programmes, including the MSc in Sustainable Building Design and Engineering, and has expertise in curriculum design and accreditation processes.

Research

Mohammad's work spans diverse areas, including community solar energy projects, virtual reality applications in construction education, sustainability in healthcare facilities and circular economy principles in facility management. These initiatives, funded by various organisations including the London Community Energy Fund, the University of Greenwich and Innovate UK, showcase his expertise in leveraging technology to address sustainability challenges.
