Nataša Šarčević is active on the international music scene as soloist as well as a passionate chamber musician and dedicated teacher with more than 20 years of teaching experience. She won a number of prizes in international competitions resulting in concert invitations in Germany, Austria, Holland, Portugal, Spain, Russia, Brazil, the UK, Latvia, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, and Italy. She also performs in the leading venues in the UK, including the Wigmore Hall, St. John's Smith Square, St. Martin's in the Fields and Barber Institute of Fine Arts, to mention some.
She studied with eminent teachers including J. Mihailovich, L. Natochenny, I. Zaritskaya and A. Andrievsky at the University of Arts, Faculty of Music in Belgrade, Hochschule fuer Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt and the Royal College of Music in London, and was influenced by and worked with D. Bashkirov, B. Davidovich and S. Perticaroli as well.
She taught at the North London Piano School Summer Courses held at the Purcell School of Music for the last five years, collaborates regularly with the "Associacione Mozart International Master Classes" in Narni and the "Accademia di Musica di Cagliari" in Sardinia, Italy, and gave masterclasses in Latvia, Slovenia and Serbia.
Her musical interests are highly versatile and her broad repertoire is ranging from Bach to Schnittke, Webern and Takemitsu. However, over the recent years she dedicated her special attention to the solo piano works of Liszt and the chamber music repertoire of Brahms, and she performed the Liszt, Chopin and Tchaikovsky Concertos with the Belgrade Philharmonic and the Symphony Orchestra of the Radio and Television Serbia.
She was Assistant Professor of Piano at the University of Arts, Faculty of Music Belgrade from 1994 - 1998 and since 2006 holds the post of Academic Lecturer of Piano at the London College of Music.
