Sara Raybould is Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education and Student Experience). Previously Sara was Director of the London College of Music from July 2012, after two years as Acting Head and four years in the role of Deputy Head and Director of Studies.
Sara's specialist area is Popular Music Studies. This has been a driving force for the subject within The University of West London, leading to development of two highly successful programmes which between them boast over 300 students. Sara has vast experience within both popular music performance and the music industry as a whole. In the past she has worked at Technics, Yamaha and Roland, principally in the areas of product demonstration and technical support.
Her performance activity has been mainly in the fields of pop, cabaret, band work, film music sessions and jazz, and has ranged from acoustic settings to concert work with the RTE orchestra as a vocalist and pianist. Sara's particular focus within London College of Music is to encourage a real community of study for the students, promote external performance through LCM Live and continue to create new links with the music industry in order to increase employment potential.
