Sarah Ransom
I became a registered nurse in 1989 and worked within the NHS on inpatient units in the acute and Psychiatric Intensive Care units (PICU). I worked as a staff nurse, deputy ward manager and ward manager. In addition, I was involved with all trust-wide aspects of managing the service and supported the risk management training provided to all inpatient staff. I was then seconded for 24 months to the University of West London as a lecturer in Mental Health Nursing and then joined the University as a lecturer in Mental Health Nursing, I am currently a senior lecturer and a course leader for BNursing Mental Health. I am a Personal Tutor and Academic Assessor.

Teaching
I am currently a senior lecturer and a course leader for BNursing Mental Health. I module lead on personal effectiveness at level 4 and level 7. I Lecture on the Berkshire and London sites; this involves supporting a range of pre-registration nursing students.
