SkillsForStudy
Skills for Study is an online resource that all students at UWL have access to. Divided into 8 self-study modules, you can go through the material at your own pace on the topics most relevant to you.
Online activities to develop your learning
Using Macmillan Skills for Study, LinkedIn Learning and online workshops, you can access a range of resources to help you prepare for the new academic year, in a way that best suits you.
These online activities are optional, and we’ll be providing links to recordings of workshops so that, even if you miss an online session, you can still benefit from them at a time that suits you.
Macmillan Skills for Study
Macmillan Skills for Study has been designed specifically for Higher Education and gives you access to videos and exercises to help you develop your academic skills.
It allows you to track your progress so you can use this platform throughout the year to enhance your academic skills profile.
LinkedIn Learning
This platform allows you to engage in self-study on a wide range of professional and academic skills. It also allows you to track your progress, and the platform will recommend other resources you may find useful based on the training you have engaged with.
Studying off-campus
Some of our courses have modules that are partly delivered online. Throughout this academic year, you will have access to weekly content and activities that will enable you to complete your modules online, and the ability to submit your assessment online too.
Our Studying off-campus pages will help you to understand what that means for you and can provide some tips on making the most of this time.
