Spring break is a time to relax and recharge ahead of the final push as we head to the end of this semester. But following these top tips to use your time wisely can make a big difference to your final grade and even your future career. 

1. Set aside time each day to focus on your studies 

You’ll be surprised just how much you can achieve if you set aside a bit of time each day to dedicate to your studies. Timetable when you plan to study and find a place where you can focus without distractions. And remember, the library at St Mary’s Road is open 24 hours a day.  

2. Use the digital library

Access to your e-books, journals, databases, and specialist sources – all without stepping onto the campus.  

3. Get your study skills up-to-speed

From planning your assignments to referencing, we have a whole range of support to help you develop the academic skills you need to succeed and you can access them all online.  

4. Explore your career options 

Take the online quiz that matches your skills, motivations and desires to a career that's perfect for you. Get even more from your results and take them to one of our Career Consultants. 

5. Work on your career management skills 

These LinkedIn courses will help you develop lifelong career management skills to cope with a complex, changing and often challenging work environment and find strategies to flourish.  

6. Connect with our Careers Consultants

Our Career Consultants are experts in support students to develop career plans and have specific industry knowledge that can help you get ahead of the competition.
