The UWL Travel Survey 2022 aims to understand staff and students' ways of travelling to the University's campuses and their behaviours and attitudes as to why they choose to travel the way they do. Filling in the survey will also help us identify additional measures and determine what interventions staff and students would like to see to improve transport options.
UWL is committed to improving transport options for staff and students, embedding a culture of sustainability across our University, and becoming a net-zero carbon campus by 2030. Over the past few years, we have introduced a range of measures to facilitate walking, cycling and public transport use and to encourage the use of alternatives to the car. The University's Travel Plan also provides the means for coordinating the delivery of measures and monitoring the effectiveness of the University's efforts in encouraging sustainable travel.

The survey will take up to 20 minutes to complete. Upon completing the survey, all staff and students can opt to be entered into the draw to win £100 Amazon voucher*(T&Cs apply) and be informed about the Privacy Statement.
You can complete both surveys if you are a student as well as a staff member of UWL.

Terms and Conditions - the University of West London travel survey competition 2022
By completing and submitting the University of West London online Travel Survey 2022 (“UWL Travel Survey 2022”), you will have an opportunity to be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a £100 Amazon Gift Voucher (“Competition”).
There will in total be two £100 Amazon Gift Vouchers available to be won, one for students and one for employees of UWL (“Prize Draw”).
To understand our responsibilities to you, and your responsibilities to us, please read these Terms and Conditions carefully.
“Terms and Conditions” means the terms and conditions (clauses 1 to 20) set out below.
The University of West London Higher Education Corporation whose main administrative offices are at St. Mary's Road, Ealing, London W5 5RF (“UWL”) is the promoter of the Competition.
To enter the Competition you must:
be a current student or employee of UWL;
be aged 18 years or over;
complete and submit the UWL Travel Survey 2022 during the Competition Period (clause 4); and
provide UWL with your full name and email address.
One entry will be accepted per person, however if you’re an employee and student at UWL you may enter into both the student and staff Competition.
The Competition will run from 31 October 2022, 08:00am (UK time) until Saturday 31 December, 23:59pm (UK time) inclusive (“Competition Period”). All Competition entries received after the Competition Period will not be accepted. UWL reserves the right to extend the Competition Period at its discretion.
UWL will not accept responsibility for: (a) Competition entries that are lost, delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or (b) transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the Competition.
UWL will not accept Competition entries that are:
(a) automatically generated by computer;
(b) completed by third parties; or
(c) incomplete.
By submitting a Competition entry, you agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Upon completion and submission of the UWL Travel Survey 2022 (provided you have selected the opt-in option) during the Competition Period, you will be automatically entered into the Prize Draw.
There will be a separate Prize Draw for students and employees of UWL.
Two winners will be selected by a random computer selection process from all valid entries received during the Competition Period.
- The winner will be notified as soon as practicable after the Competition Period via the email address used for entry.
The £100 Amazon Gift Voucher will be sent via email to the registered UWL email address provided by the winner. Once notified, in order to claim the prize, the winner must confirm acceptance of the prize to UWL by email by no later than 30 November 2022 08:00am (UK Time) (“Deadline”). The prize may not be claimed by a third party on behalf of the winner. If the winner does not respond to the email by the Deadline, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and UWL reserves the right to select another winner.
UWL reserves the right to substitute the £100 Amazon Gift Voucher with a cash alternative to the equal value of the prize.
At any time UWL reserves the sole right to make any changes (including but not limited to the right to cancel, suspend, postpone or amend all or any part of the Competition) to the Competition in any manner and/or these Terms and Conditions without notice or liability to you.
UWL at its sole discretion reserves the right to exclude any entries if there is reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions or if any entries are deemed to be inappropriate, unrelated, or offensive. Also at its sole discretion, UWL may disqualify any entries that it believes attempt to manipulate, tamper or influence the operation of the Competition in any manner.
By submitting an entry for the Competition, you agree that UWL shall be entitled to use and process your personal data for the purposes of administering the Competition in accordance with UWL’s Travel Survey 2022 and Prize Draw Privacy Notice and data protection polices which can be found here: https://www.uwl.ac.uk/about-us/policies-and-regulations and UK data protection laws.
Insofar as is permitted by law, UWL will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate any entrant and/or winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of the entrant entering the Competition and/or taking up the prize and in the case of personal injury or death except where it is caused by the negligence of UWL. Your statutory rights are not affected.
The prize is subject to the voucher providers terms and conditions. It is the responsibility of the winner to familiarise themselves with them and to abide by them.
The Competition is not to be construed in any manner to be sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or in association with Twitter, Instagram or any other social network. You are providing your information to UWL (who reserve the right to use the information from the UWL Travel Survey 2022) and not to any other party.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed exclusively by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
