Opportunities: Marsden March, Chelsea Football Club and London Youth Games

The three volunteering opportunities that I took part in were very different from each other and gave me the chance to observe a wide range of events from different perspectives. For the Marsden March, I worked with an amazing team who were ready to answer to all of my questions. My role was really easy. I cheered the runners during the last five miles and each time they passed, I encouraged them for their hard work and they really appreciated it. At Chelsea, I did work experience that helped me to understand whether the theory from class can be applied in the real world. I had the opportunity to work closely with the event organiser and observe him performing his tasks. It was a great experience working at the London Youth Games too. For the first time, I worked with a different audience, kids. They were full of energy and demanding. After all of these opportunities, I have improved my knowledge, having covered much of the theory at university during previous years.
