We asked you why you #LoveUWL, here’s what you said...
Last week we asked you to tell us what you love about studying at UWL and we received hundreds of responses across all our social media channels. We have taken a selection of your best responses so you can check them out below.
I love UWL because of the atmosphere, people and course leaders and teaching staff. When I first started at UWL, I thought I wouldn’t fit in and was worried I wasn’t going to do well. But as the two years went by, I got so much support from teaching staff, study support and made loads of new friends. Being at UWL makes me happy to be part of the atmosphere. It’s a lovely place to study at."
UWL has a positive and peaceful feel to its environment that allows me to focus, feel more motivated, and have a good time. It also simultaneously offers many opportunities, forms of support, interesting activities and new events that keep me engaged, moving and reassured in the work I do."
I have learned to explore opportunities and challenges to improve my skills at UWL. I have been guided by amazing staff in every aspect from education, career, activities and many more. It feels good to explore UWL and I like being involved in different UWLSU activities. I have also been involved in the studentsmedia representative. A big thanks to UWL."
I love how UWL is such a supportive and great university. I love how the lecturers really care about their students and support them in their academic journey. Also, UWL is a community that has many resources and supports its students in their learning but also with their mental health. I also love how UWL has given me a great opportunity to grow as a student and to grow as a person. It has allowed me to meet many new friends and has helped me enjoy learning. The staff help you with your degree but also help you with the next step in your life and your career. UWL allows the students to be themselves and it is such a warm and friendly place."
