When you speak, we listen

When you speak, we listen

Once again, UWL has recorded impressive results in the National Student Survey and that’s all thanks to you – because we use your feedback to make improvements to every part of the University.

Taking the average response from all 27 questions, UWL is in the top 10 universities in the UK and UWLSU is the top Students’ Union in the country – for the second year running.

When you speak, we really do listen. That’s why we are working a full steam to prepare our campus to return to in-person teaching in the new academic year.

UWL is and always will be a campus university where you can find great facilities, supportive staff and a vibrant community. We can’t wait to fully reopen our campus and you will still be able to benefit from the great online facilities should you need to.

Sara Raybould, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Student Experience, said:

Throughout the pandemic we have done everything we can to provide the best student experience possible. We have utilised new ways of teaching, learning and communicating that we can now take forward to compliment on-campus learning.

At every step we will be putting safety first and implementing proportionate measures that enables our University community to return to campus safely where we know students are best placed to flourish.

From Monday we have made limited changes:

  • The requirement to wear masks when seated will be removed but will be required for circulation, in lifts and in the shuttle bus.
  • Social distancing restrictions will be removed from Elior and the SU café, when seated.
  • Social distancing restrictions will be removed from the shuttle bus, however masks are required as per TFL.
  • The one-way system will be removed in The Heart, The Street and Lammas at SMR and in Paragon reception and refectory. All other one-way systems remain in place
