Clearing is for everyone to find the right course and institution for them. It allows you to find all the remaining undergraduate vacancies at universities across the UK, starting in September.
Whether your grades aren't what you were expecting, if you've applied late, or if you have only just decided to go into higher education, our Clearing team will help you discover your place at the University of West London.
Clearing for 2024 has now closed. Clearing for courses starting in September 2025 will open from July 2025.
Top tips and advice for applying through Clearing
Transferring to UWL from another university
If you have started your degree at a different university and would like to transfer to complete your studies here at the University of West London, we are here to help you through the process.
Foundation courses are available through Clearing
There are many reasons for joining a foundation year course; you may not have the exact subjects or grades at A level to meet the entry requirements, you may have been living abroad or want to change direction with your career.
Whatever your starting point, the foundation year offers a firm grounding in the skills and knowledge that you will need to get the most from your studies and thrive at university. You'll gain valuable experience of student life and have full access to campus facilities. Successful completion of the foundation year allows you to progress straight onto Level 4 of your course.
If you're a UK student joining a foundation degree course, you are eligible for our £2000 Path to Success bursary.
My Clearing story
Initially the Clearing experience was very stressful, like I was going in blind, I didn't know anything about the process. But once I got in contact with UWL and the Clearing team, they made it really simple for me.
I would say to other students, definitely give the Clearing team a ring. They will help you through whatever problems you have."
In this vlog, BA (Hons) Graphic Design student Ollie talks about his experience of applying for a course through Clearing at UWL.
