Managing your time
Good time management skills are an essential skill to develop in order to manage larger projects or assignments as well as multiple deadlines.
The Macmillan Skills4Study Time Management module contains a range of videos, instructions, activities, and examples to help you develop this skill. You may also wish to go to Blackboard online to revisit the "Studying Online" Blackboard module, which covers both time management and guidance on effectively studying from home and online.
Completing assignments
As part of your degree, you will be asked to complete assignments. These may be essays, presentations, group presentations or projects just to name a few.
Depending on the format, you will require different skills or techniques to succeed. The Macmillan Skills4Study resource contains modules specifically tailored towards different types of assignments, such as the 'Groupwork and Presentations' or 'Writing Skills' modules.
If you feel that you are not a confident user of the computer software you need to complete the assignment (such as Microsoft Word or Powerpoint), the tutorials available on LinkedIn Learning can be a real life-saver.
