3 ways joining the Peer Mentoring Scheme can improve your student experience
We're here to help you! Check out these ways that signing up for Peer Mentoring can help support you in your studies. This is a simple way for you to transform your student experience and get the most out of your time at UWL.
1. Peer Mentoring increases your motivation
Feedback shows that the area Peer Mentoring has had the biggest impact is motivation. Increased motivation is a key factor for engagement in your studies, this will help you produce your best work.
2. Peer Mentoring boosts your confidence
A lack of confidence can act as a barrier to you reaching your full potential, and both Mentors and Mentees have reported that the programme has boost their confidence.
3. Peer Mentoring improves your grades
To succeed in your studies, you need to be able to break down assignment guidelines and understand course requirements. Because many of the Peer Mentors will have done similar assignments in previous years, they can support you to reach your true potential and help you get the best grades.

- If you have completed at least one year of study at UWL you can volunteer to become a Peer Mentor via our Peer Mentoring Service page.
- To benefit from the support of a Peer Mentor complete our online form and you will be sent details on how to book onto a Mentee information session
