The Student Experience Team are here to help you
Across UWL there is loads of support available to help with your studies, overcome issues and make sure you graduate career-ready - it’s one of the reasons we are University of the Year for Student Experience.
But sometimes it is difficult to know who to ask for help and that’s where the Student Experience Team can support. With many of the team being recent graduates, they know exactly what it feels like to be a student at UWL.
We caught up with Libby Farrier-Williams, who manages the Student Experience Team, to find out more:
I want everyone to have an awesome University experience, but we know this is not always the case. My job is to be someone that any student can contact, about any aspect of their University life, when they have a problem – we can ensure every student gets the support they deserve.
Speaking about the importance of being approachable, friendly and responsive, Libby said:
A University can seem like a big complex organisation, my job is to strip away that complexity and get students the help they need to thrive at UWL.
Asked what her advice would be to students, she said:
We say this all the time, but we really do mean it, if you need help – just ask.
