1. Get plenty of sleep

All-night study sessions may sound tempting, but a solid eight-hour rest can help to boost your memory and give you all the energy you need to focus.

2. Check out our Exam Support workshops on the Student Hub

Time management is a crucial part of study, so make sure to plan your work effectively. Create a weekly calendar with everything you have to do so you can clearly see the gaps in your week to plan in your revision, for help with this or to learn other strategies.

3. Fuel your body and brain

Providing your body with the right nutrition will give you the energy to revise effectively. Ensuring you have protein, carbs and fibre in your meals will keep you alert and ready to work. Always aim to have at least one piece of fruit and veg per day. For more advice on achieving a healthy, balanced diet, check out these tips from the NHS.

4. Take lots of breaks and get some fresh air

Effective studying is all about quality, not quantity. Make sure to go for a walk and stretch your legs, or just take some time away from the screen and your books. Try taking a walk, spending some time in nature and getting some proper fresh air.
