Keeping our campus healthy
Keeping our campus healthy
It’s great to be back on campus. We know the importance of in person teaching and how much the UWL community impacts on your university experience.
That’s why we want to keep it that way. And we need your help to keep our campus healthy.
1. Wear a face covering
Wearing a face covering not only stops the spread of colds, flu, coronavirus and stomach bugs, it also demonstrates that you respect and value the people in our UWL community. If you care for others – wear a face covering.
2. Try out our new fitness app MovesPlus
Designed by the Students’ Union to reward you and challenge you for all your daily activities, you can download it and track how many steps you’re taking each day – and of course, win prizes along the way! Healthy body, healthy mind.
3. Get jabbed
Getting the COVID vaccine not only saves lives, it means we continue delivering in-person teaching and providing access to all the great facilities UWL has to offer. Book your jab online.
4. Step outside
From improving your blood pressure to strengthening your immune system – taking a break outside is a great way to boost your health. With loads of green spaces around UWL, it's also a great way to refresh your day.
5. Don’t be a hero
If you don’t feel well, don’t come onto the campus. It’s more important that you look after your health (and the health of others) by staying home until you feel better.
6. You are what you eat
They say a healthy body makes a healthy mind. This starts with what you’re eating. Incorporating some fruit and vegetables into your diet can make a huge difference to your mental health. On campus you can now find more healthy foods than ever before.
7. Keep testing
Many people don’t realise that they have COVID-19, so we are asking all students and staff to regularly take a lateral flow test. They are easy to do, and you can order them online.
We all need to take steps to keep our campus healthy – thank you for playing your part.
