LCM Sessions: The place to be on a Tuesday evening

Intro

LCM Sessions are free weekly live music events held at Freddie’s, UWLSU’s Student Lounge. The sessions, which are on every Tuesday evening 7-10pm, with music from 8pm, are organised by London Noise Records (LNR) in partnership with the London College of Music (LCM). The gigs showcase a variety of artists, mostly from LCM, and vary in genre every week.

Connie Mason and Maja Wohlan, both LCM students, are also LNR Label Coordinators and LCM Live Assistants who organise the sessions. They explained how the past events have gone:

Our main aim was to get not only LCM students involved but students from other schools across the campus. The turnout has been great, with the majority of the events selling out and making it the busiest evening at Freddie’s. Watching students network and meeting new people has been amazing!”

We asked a student what she thought about LCM Sessions:

I think it's a great weekly event to socialize with friends after work or classes and meet new people while enjoying lively music.”

If you’d like to perform at LCM Sessions, you can contact the team via the London Noise Records Instagram.

Connie added:

Performing is open to everyone, regardless of if they are on a music-based course or not. London Noise Records is always looking to expand our roster, so LCM Sessions is the best place for this to happen.”

The team at LCM Sessions have exciting plans for the future. Maja highlighted one of the upcoming evenings:

A key one to look out for will be 21st November, which will be an EP launch party for UWL alumni, ‘Moreofthem’. Our LNR label artist Jean-Marvell will also be performing.”

LCM Sessions can be enjoyed by anyone, so if you’d like to invite a non-UWL friend, just make sure to get them a ticket!

While tickets are available at the door, you can get your tickets in advance via the UWLSU website.

We hope to see you there!
