What does community mean to you?
Being in a space with people who I'm comfortable with and who make me feel loved and welcome for being who I am."
What is the community like at UWL?
I think it depends on what you do and who you are with, but overall, I think it is close. A lot of people have different interests, so many people overlap in their social circles, societies, and/or sports clubs which makes the community very diverse."
Do you feel you are supported at UWL?
I have had a lot of support at UWL. The wellbeing team has helped me on many occasions and even helped me get my dyslexia diagnosis last year, which has helped me a lot with my classes."
What has helped you feel comfortable with your identity?
Having people see me the way I see myself is what makes me comfortable. What has helped me as well is my clothing. Being able to dress how I feel or using my clothes to take attention away from things I don’t want to be seen is very important."
