Looking forward to graduation?
Looking forward to graduation?
Once again, UWL has recorded impressive results in the National Student Survey and that’s all thanks to you – because we use your feedback to make improvements to every part of the University.
Taking the average response from all 27 questions, UWL is in the top 10 universities in the UK and UWLSU is the top Students’ Union in the country – for the second year running.
When you speak, we really do listen. We know that graduation is a really important event for those of you who are finishing their studies at UWL this year.
So, whilst we have had to postpone the July graduation ceremonies, we are actively working with Twickenham Stadium to deliver a graduation ceremony for you in the autumn. As soon as we are able, we will be providing more information on this.
And in the meantime, we are organising virtual celebrations at the end of July to recognise the achievements of the Class of 2021. You will hear congratulatory messages from the Vice-Chancellor, University staff and leading sector professionals.
You will see your name on the screen and be able to share your own messages, thoughts and stories as part of the event. Check your emails for details.
We have also put in place a whole range of support as you take the next steps in your future career. So, make sure you attend Careers Fest in August and access the Student Hub to take advantage of all the expert careers advice we have to offer – you can even book a one-to-one advice session with a Careers Adviser.
Sara Raybould, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Student Experience, said:
The Class of 2021 has shown enormous amounts of resilience, grit and determination to complete their studies and we can’t wait to celebrate their achievements at these virtual celebrations and at graduation.
As our economy starts to open up, there are loads of opportunities for recent graduates and by accessing our Careers Service you can get the best advice that will take you on the next step to your future career.
