The University of West London is now ranked in the top 20% of universities in the UK

The University of West London has continued to climb the league tables and this year jumped 12 places to be ranked 23 out of 121 universities nationwide in the Guardian University Guide 2023.

Alongside this prestigious position for the University overall, our individual course areas topped the rankings:

• We are the top modern* university in London for our Claude Littner Business School's courses in accounting and finance and business and management. Our marketing and PR courses are the best in London for satisfaction with assessment and teaching.

• Our dance and drama courses in the London College of Music are the best in London.

• Our School of Law's courses are the best in London for satisfaction with the course, assessment and teaching.

• In the London School of Film, Media and Design our fashion courses are number one in London for satisfaction with the course and assessment, whilst our graphic design courses are best in London for satisfaction with teaching.

• Within the College of Nursing Midwifery and Healthcare, our general nursing courses are best in London and our ever popular mental health nursing courses are top in the UK for satisfaction with assessment and second in the UK for satisfaction with the course.

• We are the top modern* university in London for our School of Computing and Engineering's courses in building and town and country planning, and civil engineering.

• In the School of Human and Social Sciences our criminology courses are top in London and our education courses are top in England for satisfaction with assessment.

• We are the best in London for satisfaction with the course, assessment and teaching on our London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism's courses in hospitality, leisure and tourism.

These rankings echo how our students rated their experiences at UWL when, earlier this year, UWL was voted as number one in the UK for student satisfaction^**, student voice^** and academic support^*** in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2022.

Also supporting these outstanding results, The Times and Sunday Times Complete University Guide 2023 named the University of West London as ‘University of the Year for Student Experience’ and ‘University of the Year for Teaching Quality’.
