Dr Cristina Maxim

Associate Professor in Tourism Management
London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism

Cristina joined the University of West London in September 2015. She is an Associate Professor in Tourism Management, with extensive teaching experience in various higher education institutions in the UK. 

With a BA in Economics and an MA in Public Administration, she was awarded a VC scholarship to conduct a PhD research at the Cities Institute, examining the planning and management of tourism in London. 

Cristina is the co-author of World Tourism Cities: A systematic approach to urban tourism, and the lead editor for the Handbook on Sustainable Urban Tourism. She is a Senior Associate Editor for the International Journal of Tourism Cities and regularly reviews papers for other international academic journals. 

Her research interests include world tourism cities, destination management, sustainable tourism, tourism planning/management and local government.
