Helen Dutton

Helen Dutton

Senior Lecturer
College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare

I am a registered nurse with a clinical background in Intensive and Critical Care Nursing and teaching experience with both pre and post qualifying nurses.

My main focus is teaching across a variety of acute and critical care post qualifying clinical modules.  My teaching approaches are varied but simulation is an important teaching and learning strategy, that I have found invaluable in the development of the skills required for critical care.

I am Course Leader for the BSc(Hons) Professional Practice, which offers a flexible part-time course enabling health care professionals to progress from their DipHE professional qualification to a BSc(Hons) whilst working in practice.
