Mohammad Waqar Abbasi is a senior lecturer in Marketing in the Claude Littner Business School. Waqar joined the University of West London in September 2020. Before joining UWL, Waqar was a lecturer at the London School of Science and Technology since 2016. Prior to that, Waqar taught at the University of Bedfordshire since 2014.

Throughout his academic career at aforementioned higher education institutions, Waqar has taught, developed, and assessed a wide range of modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate level including apprenticeship and executive MBA. These include modules in subject areas of marketing, digital marketing, brand management, strategy, human resource management, research methodology, and entrepreneurship. Waqar has also supervised a number of undergraduate and postgraduate research students.

Waqar’s current duties at UWL include course leadership of Level 5 BA (Hons) Business Studies course including all course pathways. As course leader, Waqar is responsible for timetabling, curriculum development, overseeing delivery and assessment of several level 5 modules as well as ensuring student satisfaction. Waqar also serves as personal tutor to all level 5 students where his role involves providing academic and pastoral support. Additionally Waqar supports UWL’s academic partnerships as Academic Partnership Link Tutor.
