Our part-time courses usually involve six to nine hours of teaching taking place on one or two days per week. These cold be weekdays, on Saturday, or even in the evening.
Throughout your studies you will have access to all student support services as well as all the facilities on campus including the library, gym, restaurants and cafes, award-winning Students' Union and more.

Why study part-time?
-
Working while you study
Studying part-time means you can continue to work and maintain your income whilst you learn.
Part-time courses are structured to allow you to balance your studies with your work commitments, and many courses encourage you to make use of your workplace experiences and expertise as an integral part of your studies.
-
Balancing personal life and study
One of the greatest advantages of part-time study is being able to combine learning with family, work or personal commitments. Although sometimes challenging, part-time study allows you to balance different parts of your life, and to study at a rate that suits your personal circumstances.
Part-time courses are studied over a longer period of time than their full-time equivalents, but you spend fewer hours per week in a classroom. Courses could involve day release, day plus evening, or evening only study. We also offer part-time intensive Saturday courses.
-
Financial benefits
Part-time study allows you to maintain your income while you learn. This will help you to balance your personal commitments and to finance your studies. The annual part-time undergraduate fees are lower than those of full-time students which allows you to spread the cost of your studies.
Many employers are willing to sponsor employees to develop their potential through further study, whether through financial support or by providing time-off to study.
If you are a home/EU part-time undergraduate student starting your first degree you can apply for student finance, meaning you don’t have to pay tuition fees up front. For more information see our help with postgraduate funding page.
If you are funding your studies yourself, we offer flexible payment plans. For more information about options of how to pay fees, please contact our Student Finance Centre on 020 8280 0283.
-
Career enhancement
Part-time study can help enhance your existing career, develop new skills if you are looking for a promotion or to increase your job prospects if you are seeking a career change.
We offer a growing range of professional body awards, and the majority of our courses are accredited or endorsed by professional bodies, to make sure you develop the knowledge and skills employers are looking for.
-
Full access to student support
Throughout your studies you will have access to all student support services including careers guidance, health advice, wellbeing support, placement help, work support and funding advice.
Once you graduate you will continue to have life-long careers support from our dedicated careers advisers, who are specialists in the career paths that lead from your course.
