The sessions are organised by the London College of Music (LCM) and showcase a variety of artists, mostly from LCM, varying in genre.
The aim of LCM Sessions is to provide performance opportunities for LCM students and a night of live music and entertainment for those in attendance. Our goal is to highlight the diverse talent we have across our performance courses.
We've got some amazing acts already lined up and spaces available for students to put themselves forward to perform.”
said LCM Live assistant Maja Wohlan.
Coming up on 1 October we have Eva Brighty (pictured), Emma Couchman and Ellie Maxwell performing.
It was a supportive environment to play new music and have fun! It helped me gain much more confidence when I did shows outside of the University,”
said Eva, who played at an LCM Session in the last academic year.
LCM student El Grant said,
Moving to a new city can be quite daunting but having something like LCM Sessions felt like a home away from home very quickly.
Every week you get to see old and new faces and be surrounded by people that enjoy the same thing as you: music! A fair amount of well-known bands formed and played in university, so by coming to Freddie’s you might discover the next Pixies or Beatles!”
Ella Hudson, another LCM student, added,
Freddie’s LCM Sessions are always the highlight of my week. It’s the perfect place to go with friends and listen to live music. The bar is a really nice area to just chill and socialise.”
LCM student Oliver Dredge said,
I would recommend LCM Sessions to everyone. Who doesn’t love free live music?
It’s a great way to meet new people and catch up with friends while enjoying performances from amazing small artists.”
LCM Sessions can be enjoyed by anyone, so if you would like to invite a non-UWL friend, just make sure to get them a ticket.
Upcoming LCM Sessions are on 1, 22 and 29 October, 12 and 26 November and 12 December.
