UWL Advertising and PR students work on London Transport Museum event

Intro

London Calling is a London Transport Museum Late event that aims to welcome those new to the city, particularly university students. Taking place this autumn 2023, the evening event will feature a scavenger hunt, creative workshops, talks, drinks and music. Those attending are invited to take part in a fancy dress competition and dress up as their favourite London Underground stations.

The event’s fun, interactive agenda has been co-created with the help of UWL’s BA (Hons) Advertising and Public Relations and Media and Communications students, who worked on event concepts as a part of their Campaigns module. Cassandra Delaunay, Charlotte Schmitt, Conor Leahy, and Sutton Radcliffe won the initial pitch battle. Then, over the summer, Charlotte was joined by Gabriela Castro and Simona Badea to form a steering group that helped advise the museum on event programming and promotion.

Drawing on my own experience to help other London newcomers get to know London as I have, has been a great and fun professional experience,”
