The Dazed team hosted the students and set them a brief to produce a series of articles exploring culture for their innovative and provocative newsletter, The Weekly Echo Chamber.
The students were given two weeks to develop their ideas and then present them to the team. Dazed provided free magazine issues and an array of thought-provoking books to help inspire the students, as well as giving them free membership to their insightful and ever-changing web platform.
David Thomas, Joint Course Leader for BA (Hons) Fashion Industry, said,
We cannot thank the Dazed team enough for their generosity and enthusiasm. Knowledge exchanges like this are the foundation of the best experiences in higher education. We cannot wait to see what our students come up with!”
Student Rachel Adepitan commented,
You’ve got to get your foot in the door and taking part in a project like this, set up by your university is really important and a great opportunity,”
Another student Kara Shanahan added,
I felt very grateful to Dazed for allowing us to come to their offices. I feel like the energy is up. Everyone is really engaged with the project and excited as we’ve had a chance to meet the team and get inspired.”
