UWL wins Education and Training Provider of the Year at the 2024 West London Chambers of Commerce Business Awards

The Apprenticeships Team at the University of West London won Education and Training Provider of the Year at the 2024 West London Chambers of Commerce Business Awards ceremony at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford on Thursday 21 November. The Awards celebrate businesses in the London Boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, and Hounslow.

The award for Education & Training Provider of the Year recognises UWL’s excellence in delivering high-quality education and training programmes, equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their careers.
Director of Apprenticeships Janet Rowson commented on winning the award:
I am delighted that UWL has received this award in recognition of the high-quality degree apprenticeships we offer, none of which could be achieved without the support of teaching and professional services staff across the University. I am particularly pleased that this award is from our local employers and the communities we work with."
UWL was also Highly Commended for Business Enabler of the Year at the Awards, recognising the University as an effective organisation empowering businesses to thrive.
Head of Knowledge Exchange and Business Engagement John Charlton said:
This category was highly competitive and to receive 'Highly Commended' gives recognition to UWL and our efforts to support businesses through innovative solutions, impactful partnerships, and quality support services."
UWL offers more than 20 apprentice degree courses across academic, business, computing and engineering, health and social care, policing, and science disciplines. Apprentices receive high-quality teaching and learning. They are assigned a personal tutor for pastoral support. They also receive 24/7 access to UWL’s virtual learning environment and library facilities.
