Professor Hine’s lecture outlined how gender stereotypes affect men’s mental health through their lives and specific societal challenges faced by men who are struggling with their mental health or are trying to seek support.

The event brought together psychologists, researchers and practitioners to explore the experiences of some of the most vulnerable men and boys in society.

The Award recognises the work of committed and inspiring individuals who drive forward widening access work.

Hundreds of graduates, accompanied by their family and friends, received their degrees from UWL’s CNMH, IPS, SMB, LCM, DSL and LSFMD.

At six ceremonies over the next two days, hundreds of graduands will be awarded their degrees, watched by their proud families and friends.

Employers were able to promote their opportunities to students and the UWL Careers and Student Money & Immigration Advice teams were present to share how they can help students in their search for employment.

An expansion of last year’s inaugural event, the Expo featured twenty-four innovative and promising startups and almost four hundred students attended.

Two composition students have participated in a year-long residency with the Ealing Wind Orchestra which will culminate with the premiere of their new pieces at the concert.

The Apprenticeships Team at the University of West London won Education and Training Provider of the Year at the 2024 West London Chambers of Commerce Business Awards ceremony at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford on Thursday 21 November.
